Improvements to ‘Banking on the go’
We've been working hard to address feedback on our new App and an update is now available to download.
We've not been able to fix all the problems in one go and some issues will take longer to fix than others. Our January update has tackled some quick fixes and we have another update planned for February. Take a look through the changes below in detail to see what we're improving. We do appreciate your patience whilst we get things fixed.

Please return to the native iOS app. It was a great experience! I don't know why you threw it away. Also I would love to see sharedealing availiable on the app!
Thanks
Does anyone know what improvements have been made apart from the bug fixes? It does not function any differently from the last version as far as I can tell.
Bit disappointed you still have to select Log In when you launch the app. That silly split screen when you do log in is SO annoying. And the overall UI still makes poor use of the available screen size.
Can't think of anything to stop me from deleting it and going back to the old iOS version.
Version 1.5.0.5 has just been released. It doesn't appear to have fixed any of the UI issues people have been complaining about.
All it seems to contain are bug fixes to the log in process which is good, but still no compelling reason for me to upgrade from 1.1.2 which is by far the better version.
Hi @ Unimpressed, we're always looking for ways to improve the mobile app. Every update we make improves things on the last version. We take all feedback we receive seriously and take it in to account for any future updates.
The initial boot up page is a waste of time. Why have a "log on" link which then sends us to another page to log on… surely opening the app in the first place would suggest we want to log on.
The log on process is too long winded, can we not have a simple pass code like NatWest/Barclays do? I know it's a security feature but if NatWest/Barclays can do it, surely a "innovative" bank like first direct can do it?
Can we not have 'available' balances visible on the balance page? I'm more interested in what I have to spend not what my cleared balance is.
Also, when making transfers can we have a number pad when inputting the amount, using a QWERTY keyboard is annoying!

in the online banking page can there be an option to see the live "available balance" (i.e. including up to date transaction information and available overdraft etc? You can see this figure currently by clicking "make payment" next to the account in question and looking at "available balance" so it would be really useful to see this for all accounts on the main account

Thanks.
Don't see why you insist we select log in when launching the app, it's completely redundant and dam irritating.
Please get rid of this unnecessary step. In the meantime I'm going back to using v1.1.2. So far you have yet to design a version with a better UI/UX
Hi @ Bad Robot, thanks for your comments. I've passed them on to the developers to make them aware of your dissatisfaction. All feedback is taken into consideration before we release any updates.

Hi @ WhiteKnight, the most recent updates covered bug fixes and improvement to the log in, but no other changes. I have ensured your feedback regarding the log in UI is passed to our development team.
